Lead HGV / PCV Technician - £48,360

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead HGV/PCV fitter to join our specialist team, servicing and repairing commercial vehicles in a timely and efficient manner. Based in Cramlington, in our facilities & workshop.

The successful candidate will be able to:

• Identify and advise the supervisor of any additional work required
• Ensure work undertaken is completed in a timely manner
• Ensure workshop resources are used in a safe manner
• Endeavour to reduce vehicle down time to a minimum
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Carry out Safety Inspections, Repairs and MOT Preparation to DVSA standards
• Routine maintenance repairs to all heavy commercial vehicles
• Carry out computer diagnostic and repairs
• Complete electronic job cards and inspection sheets on tablet
• Occasion off-site repairs and maintenance
• Carry out all work to a high standard
• Work within Health and Safety Regulations

The ideal candidate will have:

• A full driving licence (Class 2 preferred but not essential)
• Knowledge of various commercial vehicles
• Knowledge of computer diagnostic equipment
• Good knowledge of DVSA vehicle standards
• Able to use full electronic garage management system
• Be a fully qualified time-served fitter with experience in the industry
• A highly motivated and hardworking attitude
• Must have own tools
• Must be able to work as part of a team
• Awareness of personal safety and that of others around you
